The Human Figure & Doll

A double page of mostly nude figures. I have always been interested in cultural portrayals of the nude. They offer clues to a culture’s attitudes, priorities, notions.

Out pops the menhir or carved standing stone again in clear human form. Why no human neck? Maybe this was a step too far, too reckless with the stone.

How does a culture try to represent itself through a child’s doll?
