By April 2021, just over a year after the first lockdown, the vaccine roll-out was underway in the UK. But the inequity of vaccination programmes across the globe became ever more troubling. Many had been horrified that Johnson and Sunak had cut the UK international aid budget by about 4.1 billion between 2019 – 2021. It seemed even more ludicrous now when the virus tells us so starkly what a global family we are.

Biden supports the Trump / Taliban deal to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan ending a 20-year occupation. Crazy, or what? Without the US, the other peace keeping forces would also have to withdraw. Biden suddenly so limp; suggesting that the Taliban wouldn’t necessarily fill the vacuum.
